Vol-au-vent Classique

Our Stand out star is the 𝕍𝕆𝕃-𝔸𝕌-𝕍𝔼ℕ𝕋 ℂ𝕃𝔸𝕊𝕊𝕀ℚ𝕌𝔼 which always shines brightly at the markets and events...

Invented in Paris around 1800 by Antonin Carême who was known as the ‘King of Chefs, and the Chef of Kings’, the (pronounced [vɔlovɑ̃] means ‘blown by the wind’ have been popular in the UK as canapés.


They consist of a french butter puff pastry case with a hollow centre normally baked until golden and cooled until crisp. The shells are then filled with just about any filling you can dream up and takes your fancy with the picture below made up of our succulent strips of chicken and roasted mushrooms in a classic Madeira & cream sauce... YUMMY!!




Good news, party people: with the summer and hot weather approaching, our little star is now filled with Fresh succulent FRUITS DE MER: consists of tiger prawns, white fish and salmon in a lemon, dill & parsley fish velouté…
